Design Group Vancouver has partnered with a leading trade contractor with a strong reputation and market presence in Metro Vancouver to seek a talented Project Manager / Estimator. Through their 30+ year history, this organization has proven their success to build long-term relationships with industry leaders by providing high-quality workmanship while building large-scale commercial and institutional projects. This role is based out of Coquitlam, making it well-suited for someone interested in reducing their commute from the Valley. They offer a strong compensation package with 4 weeks vacation. 

 As the Project Manager / Estimator, you will be responsible for delivering direct client interface on projects in the Vancouver area. Key responsibilities will include providing superior client service, understanding job scopes to create detailed estimates and complete bids, utilization of project management software to chart progress, managing project financials and closely monitoring job progress, effectively managing workforce planning and deploying crews as required, ensuring client satisfaction, and promoting & driving organization objectives. You will attend client meetings as necessary and assist in the determination of project requirements.  The ideal candidate will have estimating experience on small-medium sized projects, be familiar with building codes, proposals, and tendering processes, and have strong collaboration skills to work with complex stakeholder groups.

 Your Background:  The successful applicant for this PM / Estimator opportunity should have demonstrated abilities in client interaction and construction, with familiarity in construction methods and building codes. Desired background includes a Diploma in Construction Project Management and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager involved at different stages of construction, from project start-up through to close-out.  Required skills for success in this role include safety focus, leadership, communication, relationship development, motivation, creativity, and accountability. You must have a strong ability to develop relationships with clients and site staff, working with a diverse group of staff, skill sets, and personalities.
