Database Administrator, SQLServer expertise

On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Database Administrator, SQLServer expertise.

Working with the applications owners and in collaboration with the Database, Server and Security teams define a schedule to upgrade from SQLServer2008.

Will be able to work alone and turn around work in a timely manner.

Reporting to the project manager and responsible for Database upgrades under the Windows Server 2008 Upgrade project.

Database Administrator, SQLServer expertise Job Details:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Collaborates with application owners and understands business requirements
  • Works in harmony with the Teck project team to resolve technical problems
  • Ensures applications continue to function after the upgrade
  • Provides support to application support team where required
  • Assists in preparing, revising and maintaining procedures and documentation
  • Provides training on the functionality and management of security policies
  • Track all changes through ServiceNow and CAB

Database Administrator, SQLServer expertise Mandatory Skills:

  • Excellent customer skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications and presentation skills
  • Previous experience within a corporate office technology environment
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience upgrading from SQLServer2008
  • Experience with internet and intranet security is desirable
  • Experience with ServiceNow and CAB process is desirable
