Compensation: $19.00 to $22.00 per hour

Our client currently seeks a Training Coordinator with excellent knowledge in content creation for training programs. The Training Coordinator will develop the material, presentations, job aids and assist in facilitating the training. This opening is based in the Edmonton, Alberta area and is a long term temporary opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following: ? Creates the Course Design Document and receives approval from the Sales Manager and/or SME?s. The Training Coordinator lists and analyzes the tasks for each topic and writes the learning objectives to get a clear sense of how the training should be presented. ? Uses the approved Course Design Document, and content provided by the Sales Manager and/or SME?s, to develop the training course(s) using various programs such as but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Word and Articulate Storyline. Designs tests and review exercises, writes course material, selects the methods of delivery and structures the course. Develops materials such as job aids, presentations, hand-outs, etc. ? Responsible for the management of employee training through a learning management system which would include but is not limited to uploading courses, assigning courses and ensuring timely completion. ? Assists with technical issues, and any other issues that may arise in relation to the training course. Ensures that the training material is up to date with any process and procedure changes. ? Evaluates the feedback and/or suggestions given about the training course
Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have the following competencies: ? Experience in the development of e-learning content and blended learning solutions is required ? Computer skills are mandatory; Microsoft Office ? must be fluent in all programs (specifically Work, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook) with accurate keyboarding and data entry ? Demonstrated experience developing learning content utilizing authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline is required ? Certification or diploma in Adult Learning and/or Instructional Design is preferred. ? Experience working in the residential home building industry or related field (land development planning, municipal government, real estate, etc.) is preferred ? Knowledge in LMS administration such as Moodle is preferred ? Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality requirements ? Ability to grasp potential issues, problem solve and adjust workload and timelines based on priority in a fast changing market ? General knowledge of IT and training coordination The successful candidate must be highly detail oriented and able to thrive in a work environment with constant change.
