Compensation: $70.00 to $90.00 hourly

If you are a Project Manager/ Sr. Consultant with IT Software Implementation experience, this position for a talented candidate might be of interest to you.

Robert Half Technology is helping a client find a Senior Project Manager to put at the center of their strategic business plan. We really need a candidate who is adept at change management, delivering value based on software expectations and preferences, to take this project to the next level. This temporary employment opportunity is based in the Calgary, Alberta area. If you can ensure that changes are delivered to the expectations of stakeholders, you'll become a key member of the team and do well in this position. Another requirement for this position is to be responsible for managing projects to successful completion, ensuring that projects deliver on time, on budget, and in accordance with standards and guidelines over the entire project. What you get to do every day

- Assembles report from business analysts, QA leads, and technical leads into an analysis

- Establishes detailed reporting to management on risk assessment, project status, and milestone completion

- Work in close partnership with the Business Analyst, QA Manager, Product Specialist, and Product Owner/Product Manager

- Works in partnership with the Product Owner/Product Manager to turn the product roadmap into executable projects

- Coordinates the daily stand-ups, ensuring they are focused, timely, and brief

- Assure that the functional requirements are met, achievable, and tracked

- Be instrumental to classify, identify, and manage risk for functional improvement requests

- Functions as Scrum Master for the developers on the team - clearing obstacles, ensuring the team is working effectively, and leading scrum ceremonies

- In charge of project planning

- Facilitates the team focus on the on-time delivery of agreed products

- Establishes the RACI matrix for projects in a product line

- Governs deployment scheduling in coordination with Dev Ops, Product Owner, and tech lead

- Determines and schedules projects - as per the Project Roadmap defined by the Business Owner

- Sets schedules and milestones with inputs from all other teams assigned to that product, manages project scope and timelines

- Works closely together and communicates with developers, designers, stakeholders, and technical team members

- Determines project with correct ticket workflows and boards

- Coordinates and directs the sprint planning and grooming meetings and marks ticket assignments

- Engages with Product Owner/Product Manager to double check that the product vision and high-level business objectives are transparent and obtainable

- Offers support to manage dependencies among cross-product teams

- Works with the Product Owner/Product Manager to facilitate creation and maintenance of the Project Roadmap

Job Requirements
- To be considered, you should be flexible and focused

- Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

- Project Management (PMP) certification desired

- Project management knowledge, along with strong operation and project management skills

- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues

- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant Project Management experience

- Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight

- Knowledge of digital trans

- It is preferred for applicants to have experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs

- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

- Expertise in project management process improvement

- Strong familiarity with implementation

- Solid understanding of project management

- Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
