My client designs and manufactures and installs retail fixtures throughout Canada.  A Project Manager/Estimator role has become available and they are seeking a driven and experienced professional to join their team in the Edmonton, Alberta office.

Position Scope

This position requires an experienced Project Manager/Estimator who has a wide range of project experience focused on retail fixtures and displays. Your mandate in this role is to work with final clients evaluate the clients needs, review project plans, determine project estimate, organize and order all required fixtures and arrange for installation.  This role requires a determined individual who can effectively manage their time, juggle multiple priorities as well as someone who can work with others to ensure everything gets done on time and on budget. 


  • Work with final clients and or their team to determine the scope of work, review project plans, develop project estimates and related reports, source and purchase required fixtures, arrange installation to complete project within agreed upon timelines and budget
  • Work with and lead internal times related to all projects under leaderships
  • Interact with outside suppliers/vendors re costs, installation, etc.
  • Work with and develop strong relationships with final clients and or their teams
  • Analysis of project requirements and company resources to ensure that any barriers or risks that may impede the successful completion of the project are recognized and brought to the attention of management or the related teams
  • Establish schedules and or critical paths for project.  Make note of any milestones/budgets which need to be achieved
  • Manage change orders/revisions and ensure they are captures within the working project budget
  • Actively work with and communicate with internal and external teams to keep all parties up on the same point
  • Ensure all work is being completed to the highest standards possible meeting budget and project requirements

Job Requirements


  • 3+ years direct experience working on a range of projects focused on retail fixtures.  This experience should be focused on handling a dual role that encompasses – Project Management as well as Estimating of retail fixture projects
  • Familiarity working with final clients and internal teams related to project design, estimate and installation of retail displays
  • Wide technical knowledge with fixtures and their fabrication/installation process, interior retail design/layout, etc.  
  • Superior communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight and demanding deadlines
  • Skilled problem solver – solution focused
  • Must be well organized – able to focus on details
  • Strong computer skills – MS Office, MS Projects, ERP programs, etc.


College or University degree in marketing and or communications
