Robert Half Technology is looking for a Team Manager for our Client. As the successful Candidate you will be accountable for supporting and leading team members to successfully balance the everyday demands for prioritization & productivity along with creating an enjoyable and supportive atmosphere.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
× Deliver effective overall team management and guidance.
× Generate an engaging and open environment where teams feel supported, equipped and trusted to do their best work.
× Identify areas for improvement within the team. These could be areas like inefficient processes, alternative technologies or missing skills.
× Develop individualized employee performance plans that incorporate feedback, career aspirations, and training plans.
× Manage team allocation to internal work requests as well as project work.
× Deliver day-to-day operational management in the development, implementation and maintenance of business applications, which meet business requirements.
× Introduce and enforce quality control standards.
× Ensure quality assurance reviews of design, code, and performance with the application(s) are completed in accordance to set standards.
× Responsibility for the team delivering highly valued and trusted services to business customers.
× Accountable to confirm the teams’ applications are running well and able to be reported on and measured.
× Maintain application service-level agreements to agreed upon levels.
× Communicate effectively with all levels within the organization on a regular basis.
× Provide leadership to internal projects.
× Lead projects within and across applications in keeping with the corporate project management methodology.
× Train, mentor and coach team members, under the direction of the manager, to build a workforce of the highest quality.
× Ensure Systems Development Life Cycle best practices are being followed.
× Provide application expertise to internal clients, external clients and team members.
× Understand the application environment and interdependencies with other systems.
× Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
× 3 + years of direct leadership experience managing technical teams in the IT industry is required, including Leadership responsibilities to teams providing both technical and analytical services to internal clients.
× Proven working success in understanding customer/business requirements.
× Solid working experience in understanding and familiarity with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle.
× Working knowledge of ITIL and Project Management experience is a plus.
× Demonstrated strength in planning, organizing and delegating with both people and work.
× Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical people.
× Ability to work well with people and to inspire them to do their best work every day.
× Exceptional and demonstrated commitment to customer support are critical.
× Exceptional relationship building, collaboration and social skills with excellent customer focus
× Solid delegation and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented mind set and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
× Ability to deal with very stressful situations and conflicting priorities professionally along with the ability to be highly adaptable and to operate in a rapidly changing environment.
× A Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related field from a recognized post-secondary institute is required.
