Compensation: $40000.00 to $45000.00 yearly

OfficeTeam has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Assistant who is fluently bilingual and enjoys solving complex problems and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This Administrative Assistant role is a full-time opportunity and is located in the Ottawa, Ontario area.

Responsibilities:
*Act as a secondary receptionist when necessary, answering telephone calls and greeting visitors
*Process incoming and outgoing correspondence
*Organize word processors, files, and faxes
*Manage the organizational calendar of events, coordinate and communicate events to staff members
*Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
*Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team
*Use the internet to inquire about potential employees and assist in the pre-screening process
*Assist with the onboarding of new employees
*Participate in planning new employee orientation meetings
*Perform various ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback
*Support other functions as assigned
*Act as the first point of contact for any office equipment maintenance, supply orders and security issues
*Assist with payroll processes, calculated any deductions, perform reconciliations, file any related information
*Respond to any payroll related questions or concerns

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
*Post-secondary education in a related field
*A minimum of 3 years related work experience
*Fluently bilingual in both official languages
*Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
*Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Office
*Excellent multi-tasking abilities and organizational skills
*Forward thinking and brilliant problem solver
*Superior attention to detail
*Experience working with a variety of office equipment
*Brilliant and well-developed interpersonal skills
*CHRP designation considered a strong asset
