Robert Half Finance is looking for a talented Manager of Accounting to work with a thriving company. This is a successful organization that will recognize your efforts. If you can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, you might be right for this position. To succeed in this role, you will need the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. Located in the Winnipeg, Manitoba area, this Manager of Accounting position would be on a full-time basis.

Major responsibilities:

- Possessing a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

- Provide regular review and analysis of balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant

- Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

- Encourage and manage the full accounting team performance so that close deadlines are met

- Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures

- Collaborate with FP&A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

Job Requirements

- 5+ years of recent relevant financial experience

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset

- Practical knowledge of wire transfers

- Foundational knowledge in Analyzing Revenues

- Well-founded grasp of journal entries

- Comprehensive knowledge of Month-end Close Activities

- Command of Monthly Financial Reporting

- Revenue reporting experience

- General familiarity with EFT Payments

- Quality experience with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

- Proven knowledge of Expense Analysis

- Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

- Solid technical skills

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

- Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
