During Covid this company has experienced a spike in sales due to the supply of health care products. Candidates must have a finance background and possess outstanding communication skills. Daily functions include conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. Located in Mississauga, Ontario, this Financial Analyst role is a full-time employment opportunity.

How you will make an impact

- Collaborate with senior executives on creating financial models and insights

- Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are properly executed

- Work with the Accounting team on monthly and quarterly financial close processes

- Produce and manage forecasting reports

- An ideal candidate should be highly flexible, comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations

- Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

- Look over performance to date while assessing potential opportunities and risks

- Provide valuable foresight and decision support through effective Business Intelligence (BI)

- Explain and understand internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

- Track monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources

- Support Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P&L forecasting

Job Requirements

- Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

- 3-5 years Financial planning & analysis experience

- Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required

- Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

- Solid understanding of financial analysis

- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

- Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
