Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Buhler Trading’s Farm King Division is currently accepting applications for a qualified Manufacturing Engineering Technician for its location in Morden, Manitoba. Reporting to the ME Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the timely processing and implementation of product design releases to meet quality, timing, cost, and safety objectives.

Duties include:

  • Documenting processes
  • Process improvements
  • Troubleshooting and creating Standard Operating Procedures
  • Act as shop floor support as well as work on various projects
  • Determine and develop tooling requirements and conduct product structure and cost evaluations
  • Regular interaction with the Purchasing, Quality, Maintenance and Production departments.





  • Post-secondary education in mechanical engineering
  • Thorough understanding of production floor processes and procedures, as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required
  • Preference given to those with an agricultural background
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines are also required.
  • Background/knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical shop floor experience
  • Knowledge and experience of CNC programming, fabrication and welding are desired.
