A Light Duty-JM Shop Foreman oversees technicians and allocates work orders to the individual’s abilities ensuring the quality of work. Some of the job duties will include, but are not limited to:


  • Ensures all maintenance and repairs are performed as assigned in accordance with company and manufacturers’ standards.
  • Reviews with Technicians any immediate and potential problems.
  • Assists Technicians to repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems as required to meet operational deadlines.
  • Examining vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is needed.
  • Testing repaired vehicles for proper performance to ensure that completed work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations. 
  • Completing detailed written report for the completion of work orders. 
  • Ensures all service problems listed by customers are addressed according to company policy. 


DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 – 3 years related experience.
  • Journeyman Light Duty Automotive Technician.
  • CVIP and Out of Province certification required.
  • ADP/ CDK experience considered an asset.
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
  • Energetic and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to perform in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
