ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently accepting resumes from dedicated and energetic individuals who are looking for a challenging and rewarding career as a Sales Manager at our Calmont Volvo Truck Centre in Edmonton, AB.

As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Sales Department. You will be in charge of increasing company revenue and market share by generating sales from new customers and retaining existing customers, while overseeing sales at our Volvo Truck Centre.

The desired candidate will fulfill their responsibilities though effective personnel management, knowledge of market potential and maintaining established performance standards. 


Other job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain competent product knowledge of all current truck, trailer and component specifications for products sold/leased at Calmont.
  • Ensure all sales problems listed by customers are addressed according to company policy and practice to maintain positive company/ customer relationships.
  • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, provincial, and local regulations that affect vehicle sales.
  • Develop and maintain adequate systems and procedures to provide a measure of efficiency of the department.  Establish and direct paper flow for quotations, sales files, work orders, customer invoicing, purchase requisitions and payables, and manage reports. 
  • Establish and maintain stocking levels of new and used trucks in conjunction with the Director of Sales.
  • Facilitate new vehicle pre-delivery with Parts and Service Managers. 
  • Ensure the facility is secure, well-lit and professional in appearance as required by the agreed dealership standards.   
  • Other duties as required.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5-10 years related experience.
  • Prior supervisory/management experience required.
  • Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a history of exceeding customers' expectations.
  • Energetic and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Valid class 3 Drivers License considered an asset.
