Job Description

ADGA Group Consultants Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to provide advice on various options that simulation can be used in support of research, testing and operational training for Royal Canadian Air Force clients.

This position, based out of Trenton, Ontario, requires excellent communications skills in both oral and written formats and with strong presentation skills.  Because there is no internet in the lab environment, an ability to think on your feet is necessary.  Experience with simulation software development is desired but not essential. Software languages include Java, C++, scripting in various other languages such as Python.

The platform being used is referred to as the Advanced Framework for Simulation and Modeling (AFSIM). Having a military background to help understand the environment is desirable but not mandatory.

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics, Sciences, or Engineering, with Modeling and Simulation courses
  • Minimum 7 years designing, coding, and testing C++ and Java programming
  • Minimum 6 years working in a Microsoft, and Unix or Linux operating system environment
  • Strong knowledge of simulation and modelling systems and how these systems interact
  • Experience working with: Python, scripting languages, Git repository, and GitLab

Nice to Have 

  • CMSP (Certified Modelling and Simulation Professional) Certificate or an equivalent industry-recognized qualification
  • Experience programming in a modeling and simulation environment
  • Experience developing simulation systems
  • Experience working with Image Generation and display systems

Additional Information

  • Must currently hold Federal Government Secret Clearance 
  • Copies of Degree/Diploma/Certifications will be required
