Engineering Manager job in Barrie at Agilus Work Solutions

Agilus is currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager for our industry leading Industrial client located in Barrie, ON.  This is a permanent opportunity.    The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing all engineering aspects of the business, including but not limited to Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Programming and Robotics.
Responsibilities:•Provide engineering departments with direction, leadership, and support with performance plans•Support the development of processes, tools, initiatives, and training for all engineering departments•Foster a strong culture of accountability, engagement, provide mentorship and demonstrate strong leadership to direct and indirect reports•Identify recruiting opportunities and provide support for recruiting activities•Be involved in hiring decisions incorporating input from managers and HR•Through direction from President, VPO or others, lead product standardization processes to ensure functional specifications are documented, maintained, and validated•Ensure that cohesion and collaboration across all engineering departments•Lead all Quality Management System initiatives and be key stakeholder ensuring full compliance is being met and product standards are upheld•Lead Standard Product development and production initiatives through the companies Transfer Automation or through any of its subsidiaries or divisions•Be key champion for engineering activities including but not limited to Product and Process FMEAs, Mechanical Engineering FEA studies, Controls Programming Standards and Software Validation using best practices and industry validation standards and protocols
Qualifications:•A strategic and visionary leader with demonstrated experience empowering, developing, mentoring and providing leadership to employees of various skill and experience levels•A leader who is a customer advocate with and an external focus on driving customer success•Solid industrial systems integration background: very familiar with all the types of applications and technologies used by the company and its customers•Post-Secondary education in a relevant technical field – Mechanical, Electrical or other IndustrialCompetencies (PE/P.Eng. is preferred)•Knowledge / Experience with INVENTOR and/or SOLIDWORKS or EPlan and/or SEE Electrical Expert are preferred.
