Our client, a fast growing company is looking for a Director of Treasury. Reporting to the Group CEO, the role will be responsible and accountable for all of the capital needs of the business units and helping to build the long term capital strategy. This includes managing and monitoring our current capital supply as well as working in collaboration with the business development teams to create new capital supply to meet the demands of our growth strategy.

What you will do:
-In depth analysis of our current capital supply, cost and efficiency, including review into sources and availability of debt, sub debt, equity and securitization facilities
-Develop and execute a business plan with measurable, achievable, results and goals focused on raising capital from existing partners and new sources
-Assist in the development, build-out, composition and analysis of in-depth financial models to support the growth of the business
-Assist in the authoring of formal business plans/capital memorandums
-Market strategies, develop and maintain long-term relationships with key decision makers within each client/prospect organization (public and corporate pensions, private funds, insurance companies, banks and CU’s), in Canada and abroad, and work in a consultative, solutions-based manner to build trust and drive results in sourcing and negotiating net new capital supply and co-managing existing sources and supply
-Analyze, negotiate, structure, and close capital agreements with thoroughness and attention to detail, while also effectively meeting deadlines and managing complex and heavy workloads
-Responsible for post-closing monitoring of facilities, including the diligent collection and review of all reporting requirements associated with each facility
-Maintain a strong knowledge of industry trends and share insight gained from investors with internal stakeholders in an effort to position the broader group for success and to aid in new product development initiatives
-From time to time, compile reports, present findings, and make recommendations on the overall portfolio, analyzing the portfolio for overall trends, credit risk and summarizing key statistics
What you will bring:

A highly motivated can-do attitude balanced with an understanding of what it means to successfully manage other people’s money.

Ideally you will have had a proven track record as a team member in investment banking, private debt/equity, advisory or corporate finance and wish to apply what you have learned to help change the future landscape.

-You should have an Undergraduate degree preferably in commerce, finance, or economics; additional credentials including CPA, CFA or MBA is an asset.
-Proven track record of successful institutional fundraising and relationship management
-Team-oriented approach and demonstrates a commitment to shared success above any personal accomplishment or recognition
-Your previous work history should include experience in deal sourcing, analysis, risk assessment, negotiation, due diligence and successfully closing transactions. You are a strong communicator and possess excellent presentation skills.
-You are a strategic and critical thinker and capable of working on your own or in a team environment.
