Service Technicians provide inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs.

• Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at varied customer locations, as directed. Be available "on call" as part of service office rotation and provide after hours service, as required.

• Conduct on-site electrical, mechanical, structural and electronic troubleshooting to determine cause for equipment malfunction and establish the necessary repairs utilizing visual inspection, test procedures and appropriate test equipment. Perform a general post repair audit prior to completion of work, documenting that all required safety features are functional or documenting deficiencies and attaching a deficiency tag to the crane.

• Document findings and make corrective recommendations to the customer including a written "Safety Notification" of any observed or known safety concerns, if appropriate. Determine customer's intentions to purchase repairs and advise local service office of actions necessary to sell or complete the repairs.

• Consult with customer regarding all repair and safety related issues and discuss recommendations that will assist the customer with improving their material handling applications, prior to leaving job site. Determine items requiring quotation.

• Complete and provide proper electronic documentation utilizing the established company digital tools required for each service, obtaining the customer's signature and acceptance.

• Generate sales leads during service calls and report to service office, following established guidelines.

• Read, understand and apply the contents of all OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI and other codes or regulations pertaining to our industry. Refresh and update knowledge periodically.

• Complete service reports and other required and appropriate documents in a professional, accurate, neat and legible manner and submit same in a timely manner and in accordance with established guidelines.

• Maintain regular communication with the service office and Planner, in accordance with established practices.

• Maintain all company issued equipment, vehicle and assets in a safe and proper working order. Operate tools, equipment and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. Notify supervisor of any deficiencies for resolution.

• Maintain supply of forms, literature, inventory and miscellaneous materials in the service vehicle. Document use or sale to customer, as required.

• Follow all established safety rules and procedures, including those established by the customer.

• Maintain company vehicle and uniforms in a clean and presentable manner.

• Participate in monthly safety meetings.

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION: College and/or University in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or related field or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience is preferred. Certificate of Qualification in relevant field is required.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum one (1) year experience involving electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair. Some electronic experience is preferred but not necessary. Prior experience with cranes is a plus.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver's license. Must be willing and able to work off the ground. Must be able to work varied overtime, as required by customer, be available for "on call" as part of the service office rotation and be able to travel and work out of town, on occasion.

Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. although not on a daily basis. Must be able to lift 100 lbs. on a rare basis. This position requires frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, and overhead reaching. This position requires occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling. This position will be inside approximately 90% of the time and outside approximately 10% of the time. This position will be frequently exposed to heat, cold, noise and heights.

Technicien de service

Qualifications:Minimum un (1) anne d'exprience portant sur la rsolution des problmes lectriques et lectroniques et rparations. La prfrence est un diplme d'associ de deux ans sur les installations lectriques industrielle, la technologie du gnie lectronique ou domaine connexe ou la formation professionnelle / technique quivalente et exprience. Doit possder un certificat de qualification dans un mtier connexe. Doit avoir de trs bonnes aptitudes mcaniques, un bon dossier de conduite et n'a pas le vertige. Possder de l'exprience antrieure sur les grues est un atout.

Les fonctions du poste:

1. Effectuer des inspections de maintenance sur les ponts roulants lectrique aux emplacements de client.

2. Effectuer sur place des contrles extensif des pannes lectriques, lectroniques et mcaniques pour dterminer la cause de la panne d'quipement et tablir les rparations ncessaires en utilisant une inspection visuelle, des procdures d'essai et l'quipement d'essai appropri.

3. Effectuer sur place des rparations sur les ponts roulants en conjonction avec les rparations prvues dans le cadre du contrat de maintenance du client, en rponse un appel de service ou sur un appel d'urgence en raison d'une panne d'quipement.

4. Responsable d'une connaissance de base et connaissances pratiques ou toutes les normes CSA, OSHA, ANSI, CMAA et autres codes ou rglements relatifs notre industrie. Doit tre en mesure d'obtenir une rglementation spcifique sur demande.

5. Responsable de remplir compltement et avec prcision tous les documents requis chaque jour.

6. Documenter et entrer dans le registre toutes les soumissions offertes aux clients (verbales ou crites) et gnrer un document ou une copie de votre soumission tre utilis comme une fiche de suivi.

7. Examiner avec le client toutes les rparations que vous avez effectues et obtenir leur signature sur le rapport de service quotidien indiquant leur acceptation que les travaux ont t accomplis convenablement.

8. Responsable de maintenir une image et une apparence professionnelle en tout temps.

9. Maintenir tout l'quipement et les actifs de la socit en bon tat de fonctionnement et garder propre.

10. Maintenir un stock de la littrature dans le vhicule de service et les formulaires ncessaires et tre en mesure d'utiliser la documentation et les formulaires appropris utiliss par le service aprs-vente.

11. Responsable de maintenir un bon niveau de stock de l'inventaire et les articles en stock dans le vhicule de service.

12. Responsable de tous les outils fournis par la socit, chelles et les niveaux de stock d'inventaire qui vous sont attribus.

13. Responsable sur la gnration de pistes de vente et de service pendant les appels de service et d'identifier le personnel appropri de Konecranes Canada Inc. du besoin du client et niveau d'intrt.

14. Doit dvelopper une connaissance approfondie de notre littrature de service, les politiques de service et les taux d'horaire de main d'uvre.

15. Doit fournir les clients avec un rapport sommaire de la scurit des points de scurit remarqus lors des visites de service et de ramener une copie signe du document comme preuve de notre avis au client. (Il s'agit d'une courtoisie professionnelle fondamentale requise en tout temps. Ceci peut aussi protger Konecranes Canada Inc. de toute responsabilit si la grue est utilise.)

16. Doit maintenir une communication rgulire avec le bureau local et/ou appeler au moins une fois par jour la succursale de service.

17. Responsable de comprendre l'approvisionnement des pices de base sur les projets de service, remplir les bons de commande appropris et dvelopper une bonne connaissance pratique des fournisseurs de la rgion et des pices de rechange des fournisseurs. Si le projet le permet ou la situation le justifie, toute les commandes des pices pour le projet doivent tre effectues par le technicien de maintenance du compte et ce temps devrait tre factur au projet.

18. Responsable de travailler un partage quitable des appels 24 heures par jour et des heures supplmentaires ncessaires. Cela sera rpartie aussi galement que possible par le superviseur de service/planificateur.

19. Charg de remplir un Audit de scurit sur les interrupteurs de fin de course et le bon fonctionnement gnral de toute grue vous avez travaill ou inspect avant de quitter les locaux du client.

Les exigences physiques:

Doit tre capable de travailler sur des escabeaux, monter sur des escabeaux fixe, travailler sur divers lvateurs, porter un harnais complet de protection antichute et d'utiliser correctement, porter le masque de type cartouche et/ou appareil respiratoire autonome libre lorsque requis comme quipement de protection individuelle (EPI). Levage frquent de pices et/ou de composants pesant 10 - 20 livres et levage occasionnel de pices et/ou de composants pesant 30 50 livres. Levage peu frquent de pices et/ou de composants pesant plus de 50 livres. Doit tre en mesure de rester debout, marcher ou monter pour de longues priodes. Doit tre capable de conduire pour de longues priodes de temps.
