OfficeTeam is working closely with their client who is seeking for a Property Manager to join their growing team! As the Property Manager, you will be managing daily operations of properties, facilities management as well as collections and tenant relations. This great opportunity is in Downtown Toronto, where you will be on the road visiting the properties as well as working in the office. The chosen Property Manager will be reporting into the executives of the firm. As the Property Manager, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:



* Schedule and oversee building maintenance, repairs and inspecting vacant units
* Negotiate contracts with vendors
* Regulatory inspection of properties to ensure that they are in good working order
* Quickly and efficiently resolve emergency maintenance issues that arise
* Supervise on-site employees
* Collect rent, dealing with late payments, and handling operating expenses.
* Enforce terms of rental agreements
* Addressing tenant complaints
* Terminating leases and initiating eviction proceedings
* Prepare financial reports on the performance of the properties
* Respond promptly to emails and calls
* Prepare weekly report to building owners

In order to succeed, you will have:



* 5 or more years of experience as a Property Manager
* Familiarity with mechanical and structural elements of apartment buildings
* Knowledge with applicable provincial and municipal laws and regulations as well as Residential Tenancies Act
* Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office and Yardi
* Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
* Access to car and valid driver’s licence.
