Our client, a growing SAAS company is looking for a Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function of the company. He/she will also assist in completing the month end, analyze and interpret results, and provide recommendations and insights to improve financial performance.

-Obtain and maintain knowledge of the SaaS industry, the company’s business, market, and clientele
-Assist in developing and enhancing business model, prepare annual budget, quarterly forecast, and monthly reforecast
-Prepare cash flow projection for rolling 12 to 18 months; manage the company’s cash flows and working capital
-Participate in equity and debt financing through working with senior management, investors, banks, and financial advisors
-Handle due diligence requests from lenders and potential investors which include generating and creating reports that are not currently available
-Provide business decision support based on proper analysis and business intelligence
-Work collaboratively with the Senior Accountant to complete the month end close
-Oversee accounts receivable to ensure billing is correct and timely collections from clients
-Oversee accounts payable for accuracy and timely payments to vendors and suppliers
-Review the financial statements to ensure they comply with the applicable generally accepted accounting principles
-Prepare monthly financial reporting package and variance analysis on budget vs. forecast vs. actual
-Prepare monthly board package and ad hoc analysis for the board and other stakeholders including executives and management
-Analyze and interpret monthly financial results and KPI
-Provide recommendations, insights, and solutions to improve the company’s financial performance
To succeed in this role, you will need

-6+ years of previous experience in financial modelling and reporting in a medium size company
-Canadian CPA designation CA preferred
-Strong knowledge of ASPE is required, strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP would be an asset
-Strong business acumen, business partnering
-Ability to work both in a team and independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment
-Experience with ERP such as Sage 50 Quantum, Sage 300, Oracle NetSuite, or Microsoft NAV would be an asset
