Summer Student - Maintenance

Location: Fort McMurray, AB

Diversified Transportation is currently looking for a Summer Student to join its team in Fort McMurray. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, the Summer Student is directly responsible for general labour duties both within and outside of the facility. This is a full-time temporary position with an end date at the end of September 2023. The shift for this role is Monday through Friday from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Lawn maintenance, such as cutting grass, weeding, bagging and disposing of grass clippings and weeds
• Painting of miscellaneous items around the facility
• General clean up, sweeping and tidying up of indoor/outdoor areas
• Assist with minor building repairs
• Various other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous landscaping, janitorial and/or labourer experience is preferred
• Class 5 driver's license preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather
• Must possess strong abilities to follow oral or written instructions as required
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with shop staff and trades
• Work in a team oriented, culturally diverse workforce
