Job Description
Reporting to and receiving general direction from the Manager, Industry Events, the role is responsible for partnering with the Operations Area Management team and Marketing division to develop and implement event, sponsorship and program strategies that elevate FCC's brand awareness, visibility and reputation, as well as create networking and relationship building opportunities for sales staff among customers, producers and industry stakeholders in Canadian agriculture, agribusiness and agri-food;
lead FCC's trade show and industry events program within the sales area, including identifying strategic opportunities, negotiate contracts and create and implement all aspects of the event strategy
increase FCC's visibility and long-term opportunities with new and existing key regional associations, Centres of Influence (COIs) and other industry stakeholders. Negotiates partner agreements, contracts and other such agreements that allows the external stakeholders to meet their needs while representing the long-term interests of FCC;
serve as a strategic consultant and first point-of-contact for Marketing within an Operations sales area.
provide support to each district by coaching and mentoring Operations sales staff with specific focus on Marketing and RMP, including frequent presentations and formal training on Marketing tools, networking and trade show sales approach.

extensive knowledge of agricultural marketing, business development, sales and communication
practices;
thorough understanding and experience in the planning and execution of events and
sponsorship;
excellent facilitation, project management, verbal, written and listening skills;
working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook as well as must stay informed of changing
software applications, social media and online trends is essential
Knowledge is generally acquired by having completed:
an undergraduate degree in marketing, agriculture or business administration;
and approximately 5-7 years of related experience;
or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

FCC follows a hybrid work model, requiring selected candidates to spend 60% of their time working in the
office. While FCC prefers candidates based in the cities listed below, we may also consider candidates
located in other cities or regions depending on their suitability for the roles and availability:
