Make your mark as the Director of Business Development!Agilus is recruiting for a Director of Business Development in the Industrial Construction Industry in Edmonton, Alberta. Agilus is searching for a Director of Business Development on behalf our client, a leader in the manufacture, design, supply, and installation of geosynthetic liner systems. As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Business Development will report to the group President and will be responsible for growing supply & installation sales to earthworks contractors, owners, and developers across the Western Canada territory. Responsibilities:

  • Lead product and construction sales to earthworks contractors, owners, developers, roadbuilding/paving contractors, and oilfield rental companies
  • Pursue supply-only and supply & install sales opportunities for liners, geotextiles, geogrid, tarps, siltbags and other related materials
  • Identify and track bidding opportunities for relevant projects
  • Develop lists of key customer targets and introduce the company's service and product offerings
  • Set up, promote, and host lunch and learn sessions for key contractors, owners, engineers, and architects
  • Generate quotations and seek intel on market price to aid in competitive situations
  • Participate in the development of new products and processes
  • Supervise and mentor an Account Manager specifically focused on supply-only sales
You bring:
  • Professional Engineer (mechanical preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience related to construction
  • Charismatic relationship building skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read and produce technical communications and presentations
  • Experience writing bids and responding to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and quotation requests
  • Capable computer skills; including the full MS Office suite
  • Demonstrated history of sales effectiveness
