Data Architect Senior

Data Modeller/ Architect

Duration : 7 months and subject for extensions - approximate dates  February 2, 2023 – September 30, 2023

Hours: 35 hours per week

Work Location: Ontario, CA – Remote/Work from Home

Our client is deploying an enterprise data lakehouse on Azure cloud architecture and  requires a Data Architect/Modeller to meet data ingestion pipeline deployment targets .

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design and oversee implementation of modular and scalable data ELT/ETL pipelines and data infrastructure leveraging the wide range of data sources across the organization
  • Develop modeling guidelines that ensure model extensibility and reuse by employing industry standard disciplines for building facts, dimensions, bridge, aggregates, slowly changing dimensions and other dimensional and fact optimizations.
  • Work with tools in the Microsoft Stack; Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Databases, Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Synapse Analytics Services, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Purview, and Power BI.
  • SAP product data structure knowledge is an asset

 

Key Technical Qualifications

  • Experience in designing and building complex data models utilizing technologies such as SQL, Python, Spark (seeking senior – 10+ years)
  • Experience with cloud data architecture design utilizing the Azure data technology stack (seeking intermediate, 4-9 years )
  • Experience collaborating and communicating with customers to understand requirements and design end-to-end data solutions (seeking intermediate, 4-9 years )
  • Experience working in large/complex organizations
