Agilus is recruiting for an Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering Lead in the Oil & Gas Industry in Sarnia, Ontario. The Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering Lead is responsible for developing working standards, work-load balancing, coaching, and technical direction to the CAPEX engineering team. Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical team to ensure quality project deliverables are achieved within defined timelines
  • With a focus on maintaining / building current and future client relationships, Leads delegate project requirements to their team, supervise, and participate in proposals (scope definition, man-hour / deliverable plans, schedule preparation, and resource planning) and Execution (supervising resources, managing project plan, reporting, and close-out).
  • Also expected to be a part of the CAPEX management team and participate in yearly budget setting for both the cost centre and the CAPEX budget, participation in bi-weekly project reviews, interview and select new prospective engineers, and provide general quality assurance for their team
Successful candidates will have:
  • Engineering degree
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and can clearly communicate to achieve required results and maintain project timelines
  • Ability to manage multiple complicated tasks with under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills both written & verbal
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience within the oil and gas industry (EPCM) with excellent knowledge of engineering protocols
  • Experience in brownfield design an asset
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, Outlook, SAP, various databases
  • 5 to 10 years practical project experience with focus on the following areas would be an asset Control systems Design (Foxboro DCS, Trident SIS PLC, GE RX3i PLC, Rockwell Logix 5000 PLC, Bently-Nevada condition monitoring, control narratives, cause & effect charts, Network architecture diagrams), Instrumentation Design, Electrical Design, Purchase requisitions, Construction Work Packages (CWPs), operability/maintainability
