Agilus is recruiting for Sr. Software Developers for a client.
This a 100% remote position for candidates anywhere in CANADA.Role Summary: As part of the team, you will be working with a team of smart, friendly, and dedicated Engineers, Product Managers and Designers determined to deliver some of the best apps the market has to offer.
Responsibilities:
- Working with our preferred technology stacks (Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby/Rails/Sinatra, Django/Flask/Python/, JavaScript/Node/ExpressJS).
- Develop, scale, and optimize amazing GraphQL & RESTful APIs.
- Be part of our back-end service teams supporting web and mobile clients.
- Willingness to learn and work with modern JavaScript technologies (react, TypeScript) from time to time to build front-end applications.
- Participate in the design, architecture, and delivery of new features in a collaborative agile/scrum environment.
- Other duties as required
- 2+ years of experience developing large-scale distributed, low-latency and highly available platforms using Elixir programming language with Phoenix Framework
- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, distributed systems, algorithms and software design.
Nice to haves:
- Develop, scale, and optimize amazing GraphQL & RESTful APIs
- Willingness to learn and work with modern JavaScript technologies (React, TypeScript)
- A strong grasp and experience with relational databases; including PostgreSQL, MySQL & CockroachDB.
- Experience with background job processing (Exq, Sidekiq, Celery, Beanstalk, RabbitMQ).
- Experience with testing frameworks such as ExUnit, RSpec, Jest, pytest or equivalent.
- Experience with Git and GitHub or similar.
