Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to support a long term engineering project lead by ADGA.

Tasks will include:

  • Review SOWs (Statement of Works) and Evaluation Criteria received from the TA (Technical Authority)
  • Prepare Procurement Plans and Risk Assessments.
  • Participate in procurement working groups to develop procurement strategies.
  • Draft solicitation documents, such as Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals.
  • Create procurement documents in the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS), such as Purchase Requisitions, Requests for Quotation, Purchase Orders, Outline Agreements, and Call-Ups against Standing Offers/Supply Arrangements.
  • Maintain digital and physical procurement files.
  • Support TA and Procurement Authorities with procurement and contract reporting.
  • Coordinate with Supply Managers and Canadian Forces Units for the receipt of procured goods and services.
  • Review invoices and supporting documents.
  • Perform any other work related to this category.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to demonstrate at least 5 years of experience as a Procurement Specialist on Military Systems. 
  • Must have a Secondary School Diploma (ideally candidates will have a Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or Accounting)
  • At least 4 years experience within the last 8 years in at least 4 of the following tasks:
    • using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint)
    • experience using Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) or SAP Material Management (Purchasing)
    • reviewing procurement documents including statements of work, evaluation criteria and selection methodologies.
    • developing procurement plans and strategies and conducting procurement and/or contract risk assessments. 
    • preparing contractual documentation which includes: requests for information, request for proposals, and contracts.
    • providing advice and guidance on procurement and contracting to clients. 

Additional Information

  • Start date to be determined.
  • Contract length potential is 5 years with the potential of multi-year extensions.
  • Must hold a valid 'secret' clearance to work on this particular contract. Will process for candidates that are being strongly considered. Canadian will also require the Controlled Goods Certificate at point of hire.
  • Full grids/matrices will be provided on individual basis.
