Product Manager – Digital Products

Position Summary:

 Responsible for digital product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, with a focus on emerging technologies, including; gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining product vision and working closely with Engineering, Sales and Support teams to ensure revenue and Customer satisfaction. Work cross-functionally to develop and define the go-to-market strategy. Serves as the internal and external champion for the product offering, working with Sales and key customers as required.

 Performance Expectations:

•  Manage integration of telematics with existing and upcoming product lines, from strategic planning to tactical activities

•  Management of telematics and digital products vendors

•  Build buy analysis for internal and external data services and infrastructure

•  Comfortable with programming concepts and providing project direction

•  Identify market opportunities for emerging technologies couple with current and future product via market research, customer visitation, focus groups etc.

•  Develop a company-wide strategy to improve market position while working across functional groups through implementation

•  Champion telematics/digital product across the organization

•  Responsible for digital product roadmap with communication of milestones and quarterly deliverables to Senior Executive Team

•  Leading insights program to support advanced engineering and product development

•  Conducts Market analysis including gathering, monitoring and evaluating; competitive information, market trends, predicting customer requirements, emerging technologies from the construction equipment sector and product performance. Also assists with business cases

•  Participates in industry technology committees on behalf of Skyjack

•  Coordinate and monitor demo and field trail programs and solicit feedback from customers

•  Assist with planning and development of technology training programs and materials

•  Assist with the planning and development of demonstrating/sales training programs/materials

•  Assist with the execution of internal product technology training

 Minimum Requirements

•  Degree or diploma in a Business, Marketing or applicable Technology related discipline.

Desired Characteristics

•  Three to five years of experience with telematics or other IoT product; preferably with off-highway machinery focus

•  Clear understanding of IoT concepts and data flow from machine to front end

•  Proven product and technology management, planning and analysis skills

•  Strong product and marketing knowledge

•  Experience with business systems commonly used in construction (ERP, fleet management)

•  Excellent leadership and teamwork attributes

•  Mechanical knowledge is an asset

•  Effective communication skills (oral and written)

•  Proficient with various computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
