Support the day-to-day functions of the Payroll department as a Payroll Clerk at a growing company Accountemps has partnered with in the Concord, Ontario region. This challenging position calls for a candidate with a strong sense of initiative looking to advance their career path and work alongside an industry leader. The position seeks a candidate who is skilled in communicating with both the internal team and outside customers while being part of a dynamic, fast-growing team. The Payroll Clerk position requires the candidate to perform data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and provide statements to various departments. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is a long-term temporary employment role.

Responsibilities

- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

- Configure custom reports

- Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc

- Arrange data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

- Craft and deliver training to employees on the use of proper payroll practices, including timesheet entry and online methods of accessing pay statements

- Administer and distribute reports as instructed

- Communicate with organization employees via a variety of channels to obtain approvals of timesheets

- Efficient in Payroll software


- Skillful in learning new processes and systems


- Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities


- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills


- Sound written and verbal communication skills


- Microsoft Excel experience highly desired


- Payroll experience


- Foundational knowledge in data entry


- Comprehensive knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce


- Deep understanding of multi-state payroll


- Previous payroll experience
