Role Summary Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • Completed or enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of University working towards an Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Some robotics and PLC programming experience
  • Strong documentation, organizational & project management skills
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving & analytical skills
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in both written and spoken English. 
  • Must have good organizational skills, be a self-starter, team player and an active listener
Key Responsibilities
  • To plan, design, arrange, change, optimize, and supervise manufacturing processes.  Develop and implement procedures and process chemicals required to manufacture the products of the company.
  • Work closely with manufacturing engineers, plant maintenance, and quality assurance to ensure efficient running of the production facility.
  • Optimize the total overall chemical fluids spending in an industrial automotive plant.
  • Increase profitability by decreasing lubricant, coolant and commodity oils through reduction, recycling, and chemical management. 
  • Develop and manage min/max chemical inventories levels and responsible for placing orders
  • Ownership of industrial washing machines to ensure optimal functionality achieved through daily testing, supplemental laboratory testing and working with vendors.
  • Ownership of FMEA and lessons learned for industrial washing machines.
  • Work closely with product specialists, on product specifications and performance
  • Assume responsibility for product monitoring and ongoing performance of processes
Key Responsibilities 2
  • Make observations and take measurements directly, as well as collect and interpret data from the other technical and operating staff involved
  • Conduct process and product development experiments
  • Design process and equipment configurations so that they can be readily adapted to suit the product range and the process technologies involved, taking environmental and economic aspects into account 
  • Ensure that potential safety issues related to the project operator, the environment, the process, and the product are considered at all stages.
  • Assess processes for their relevance, and assess the adequacy of process equipment
  • Monitor modifications and upgrades, and troubleshooting existing processes
  • Actively and positively support the continued practice of Core Values behaviours
  • Initiate and embrace company change
  • Participate in a continuous improvement culture in the plant. Track the efforts and successes of the continuous improvement teams.
  • Contributes to continuing implementation programs
