Millwright ~ Maintenance
TS Tech Canada, located in Newmarket, Ontario, is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of automotive seating. We are currently seeking to fill two Millwright positions within our Maintenance Engineering Group.
Primary Functions:
To perform the maintenance and alteration of facilities and equipment, including the movement, installation, repair and overhaul of machines, tools and plant equipment.
Duties will include, but are not restricted to, the following:
  • Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, saws, welders, surface grinders and hand tools
  • Fabricate machine parts, guarding, work tables, racking, etc. to drawing specifications
  • Install machinery and confirm set-up to specifications
  • Repair and maintain the facility, manufacturing equipment and shipping system
  • Repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, assembly tooling, clamping tooling and industrial machine repair
  • Mig, tig and stick welding
The successful applicant must possess the following:
  • At least 2 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment and a registered trade ticket – Millwright
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing/walking continuously over an 8-hour shift; ability to lift heavy objects at all levels; ability to kneel, crouch, bend, reach, grip, pinch)
  • Physical ability to operate various maintenance tools and equipment
  • Willing to work overtime through the week and/or on weekends (as required)
  • Must be a self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) License 433A
  • Understanding of robotics and automated delivery systems
  • Proficient in drawings and schematics (mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics) troubleshooting and assembly
  • Experience in repairing systems to specifications
  • Practical knowledge of complete preventative and predictive maintenance (implement)
  • Safe working habits (lockout/tagout, de-energizing procedures) compliant with all applicable safety legislation/company policies
