Job Description

  • Partners with leaders to provide trusted advice in the areas of Talent Management such as employee relations, attendance management, employee engagement, performance management, succession planning etc.
  • Provide leadership coaching and strategic advice to support leaders in finding and implementing solutions for their leadership challenges.
  • Develop, implement, and deliver services to management, employees and consultants in regards to total compensation programs; including but not limited to base pay, benefits and pay structure.
  • Provide advice to management on the effective application and interpretation of corporate personnel policies and programs
  • Coach and support management on performance development process including, but not limited to ensuring probationary and annual EPR requirements are effectively communicated to Managers.
  • Work with the business divisions to develop employee engagement strategies and work with teams on action planning.
  • Participate actively with the development, coordination, implementation, ongoing administration and communication of various HR programs, policies and initiatives, including: Total Compensation, Engagement, Culture, HRIS, KPI & Metrics, Employee Relations, Contract agreements, Health and Safety, and On Boarding.
  • Develop, implement, and deliver services to management, employees and consultants in regards to career development programs; including but not limited to job descriptions, career framework, succession planning and training and development programs.
  • Coordinates the work of the HR team to ensure the smooth delivery of services to all managers, employees and consultants specifically related to administration of benefits, compensation programs, employment documentation, performance management, training and professional development programs and company orientation
Qualifications

  • Ten years of Human Resources experience, this position requires an organized individual with strong knowledge of administrative and Human Resources procedures normally acquired through formal education in Human Resources, and proven work experience. 
  • Minimum of a College Diploma in Human Resources, a university degree is preferred. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to present ideas and/or recommendations effectively.
  • Knowledge of current employment legislation in Ontario and Québec, market trends and HR best practices.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated flexibility and ability to manage changing priorities.
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to professionally interact with all levels of personnel.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to details and must demonstrate a high sense of urgency in delivering high quality work with proven capabilities of working in a fast- paced environment.
  • Possesses a keen sense of ethic and ability to remain impartial and objective
  • Advanced level knowledge of the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point) and knowledge of an HRIS system.
  • Certification: CHRP or CHRL designation is considered an asset
  • Language:  English Essential (Read/Write/Speak); Bilingual (French/English) preferred
  • Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a CISD Security Clearance at the level of enhanced reliability.
