What is the SeamlessMD product? 
Most healthcare is still delivered through paper and verbal instructions, with no easy way for providers to monitor patients and catch problems sooner. Staying connected with patients virtually is even more important during COVID-19. To address this, SeamlessMD provides the #1 digital patient engagement platform for hospitals and health systems to engage, monitor and stay connected with patients across their health care journey (e.g. surgery, chronic care, etc.). Patients are guided on smartphones, tablets and computers from preparation through recovery with reminders, education and progress tracking. Providers receive alerts, monitor patients on dashboards and access analytics to deliver better care. SeamlessMD is also the 1st digital patient engagement platform with turn-key integrations with Epic and Cerner - the two largest Electronic Health Record systems.
The Role: Head of Marketing
We are looking for a proven, health IT marketing leader to set the company’s marketing direction & priorities, and have ownership of the company’s end-to-end marketing programs including demand generation, brand awareness, product marketing and sales enablement. You will be a player-coach who is expected to both execute individually and manage the marketing team to produce measurable impacts on business results, including new customer acquisition, account expansion and overall revenue. You will also be responsible for leading professional development efforts for your team. This role reports directly to the CEO.
Core responsibilities:
  • Set the Marketing direction, priorities, metrics, goals and overall roadmap to support the Company’s higher-level business objectives
  • Be ultimately responsible for achieving the company’s Marketing goals and deliverables with minimal supervision.
  • Hire, develop, mentor and manage the Marketing team to achieve company-wide goals and individual professional goals.
  • Through individual execution and/or managing the Marketing team:
  • Develop compelling marketing copy and content including email campaigns, newsletters, press releases, blog posts, emails, landing pages, case studies, and videos.
  • Drive brand awareness and thought leadership across all channels to reach the right stakeholders, including through podcasts, webinars, press releases, newsletters, email campaigns, social media and industry events.
  • Identify, vet and help create opportunities to obtain media coverage for the company and its customers.
  • Improve marketing automation practices and effectiveness, including monitoring and improvement of KPIs. Regularly use data and analytics to improve marketing performance and optimize for conversions.
  • Ideate, propose and experiment with new marketing channels to develop new marketing playbooks that can then be scaled by other team members.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to drive a strategic and integrated Account-Based Marketing program to effectively build relationships with new target accounts and to grow our business with existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success team to more effectively celebrate and promote customer wins internally to other stakeholders (e.g. internal customer newsletters) and externally to the market (e.g. press releases, case studies, conferences, webinars, etc.).
  • Design and review the Marketing department’s budget, ensuring appropriate fiscal management
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth
  • Prepare reports on marketing metrics for the CEO
Are we the right fit for each other? 
Required attributes:
Entrepreneurial, self-driven mindset
  • While we have a Marketing foundation and strong assets in place (e.g. case studies, press releases, playbooks), there’s still a lot more to be done. You need to be comfortable rolling up your own sleeves and further building out the Marketing function in our company with a small team.
Success as a Demand Creator and marketing new products to early adopters.
  • We are pioneering a brand new category in healthcare for Digital Patient Engagement. Most health systems are not looking for a solution like ours, so we must create our down demand and evangelize the product category
  • You have a track record of going out to the market and manufacturing sales opportunities from nothing. You have been successful convincing customers who weren’t looking for a solution, to buy-in to a new, disruptive product category.
Results focused / outcomes-oriented
  • You believe Marketing’s success should be measured by its ability to help the company business objective (e.g. customer acquisition, revenue growth) and you have experience in Marketing being responsible for specific quantifiable targets (e.g. lead or opportunity commits).
Excellent at providing Sales-Enablement support to Land & Expand within hospitals & health systems
  • You are intellectually curious about your customers’ pain points and great at determining how your product can be used to help customers solve their problems.
  • You believe that your job is not to sell, but instead, to help your customers buy.
  • You have experience leading marketing efforts not only to land initial customers, but in enabling Customer Marketing efforts to expand across accounts over time
Excited by and experienced with unchartered territory. 
  • Because you are building a new category, you will need to  regularly and rapidly iterate sales materials & playbooks.
  • You will thrive here if you enjoy the opportunity to rapidly iterate and build new sales materials, playbooks and processes. You won’t be a fit here if you expect everything to already be figured out.
Thrive in a dynamic, early-stage company environment
  • We are not a huge company, we don’t have everything figured out and we don’t have endless resources. However, we are smart, fast and nimble. You will thrive here if you enjoy independence, love taking initiative, and are willing to grow with us as we experiment and identify new best practices.
Resilient and motivated by challenges
  • Healthcare is one of the hardest industries to sell into. If you are easily deterred by obstacles, this is not the industry for you.
Required qualifications:
  • 5+ years in B2B marketing to hospitals & health systems for $50,000 to $100,000+ deal sizes (preferably software/SaaS)
  • 5+ years experience across a wide spectrum of B2B marketing, including Demand Generation, Brand Awareness, Product Marketing and Sales Enablement
  • Experience leading a Marketing team
  • Ability to travel to periodically (potentially once/month for industry events, primarily in U.S. or Canada)
  • NOTE: We have currently put work travel on-hold since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, however this may change based on market conditions.
