Our renown client in the technology industry sector is currently seeking a Controller to lead the accounting and finance function and to support the operation through various project initiatives. This engagement starts with a 3 months contract with high potential for extension.

Reporting directly to the Vice President Finance and leadership team, your responsibilities will include the following:

- Prepare financial statements adhering to both IFRS and US GAAP, with consolidated financial reporting for global operations

- Manage the accounting team and full-cycle accounting function, including month-end and year-end closing, journal entries and analysis

- Ensure that the operations maintain an effective and efficient financial close process, with proper internal controls and compliance to financial standards

- Provide oversight and leadership to the accounting team, as well as collaborate with the finance team for any financial analysis and reporting

- Develop necessary management and KPI reporting in collaboration with finance team

- Assist with ad hoc projects including potential software implementation, and the standardization of accounting and tax processes
To be considered for this opportunity, you are a designated finance professional (with CPA or equivalent), with at least 6-7 years of work experience in leadership roles with financial reporting responsibilities. Strong public company reporting experience is essential to be successful in this position.

In addition, the following skills are desired:

- Ability to independently manage month-end close efficiently and effectively, while managing and providing guidance to a team

- Positive and proactive attitude to be hands-on and take ownership in various project initiatives in a fast-growing organization

- Superior communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

- Strong attention to details, with a keen eye for process improvement

- Previous work experience from technology industry sector would be highly desirable and a strong asset
