Who you are

Whether you have worked in the rehabilitation and mobility space in the past or you are looking to jump headfirst into a new career, this is an opportunity for someone who doesn’t like to be constantly stuck behind a desk.

Right now we are adding a Warehouse Associate to our team in Burnaby. We need a strong communicator and a roll-up-your-sleeves team player. We rely on our warehouse associates to take ownership and play an integral role in keeping our operations running smoothly, acting as the liaison between front-of-house, sales, service and the warehouse. You are also able to play a key role in delivery and pick up of mobility accessibility equipment as well as potentially doing some basic assembly and repair work pertaining to this equipment.

You are a process driven individual who is meticulous about receiving, shipping, inventory management and general warehouse organization. You will work in an attractive and well-outfitted facility with committed and collaborative team members dedicated to providing our clients the best customer service experience.

What’s in it for you?

Collaboration, knowledge sharing, and career growth. This is your first step into a growing organization where you can gain expertise across our full scope of devices, client-base, and operations. Whether you want to grow into a warehouse or operations manager, a service technician or a sales consultant, we will give you the tools and resources to get the most out of your time at Motion. We work a regular schedule so you can keep your work-life balance in check. Motion offers a competitive benefits package as well as an Employee Assistance Program to ensure that you get the most out of your time personally and professionally.

What you will do

Every mobility device we process is custom to our clients, as a result, we rely on our warehouse workers to play an integral role in keeping our operations running smoothly.

  • Shipping and Receiving Inventory. Working with our shipping software, Navision, you will be responsible for shipping and receiving of goods and mobility equipment. This will include creating shipping orders and labels, packing custom orders, pulling inventory from shelves, cross docking of orders from other locations, ensuring courier pick up, receiving goods from suppliers or vendors and making certain the delivery was correct and undamaged.
  • Process Mobility Devices and Equipment. You will be the gatekeeper for all our inventory and physical assets stored in the warehouse, ensuring proper storage, cleaning, and packing as items enter or exit the dock. Using our pump trucks and flatbeds you will store, organize and manage our inventory. You will tag, price, store and organize all mobility devices, parts and tools within the warehouse; helping to  build or clean mobility devices such as wheelchairs, elevating equipment and power scooters.
  • Service Support. You will assemble and do some basic troubleshooting and repairs of mobility and accessibility equipment. You will also do deliveries and pick-ups of equipment and be an extra set of hands for some service calls.
  • Communication. You will work with internal and external teams to ensure all inventory and shipments are correct and to make sure all shipping and receiving is coordinated.
  • Roll up your sleeves. You will assist your team whenever needed. Whether that’s interacting with a customer or helping other team members, you are ready to jump into the next task.
  • Sales Support. You will be responsible for pulling parts and equipment from shelves, cross docking of orders from other locations, ensuring courier pick up, receiving goods from suppliers or vendors and ensuring delivery was correct and undamaged. You will use Microsoft Navision to track inventory movement. You will collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure sales orders are completed accurately and timely nad that receiving of all inventory is meticulously coordinated.
