Cloud Architect

NovusIntelli Toronto, Ontario Full-Time

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Architect to join our team. As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet our business needs. You will work closely with our development teams, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that our cloud architecture is secure, scalable, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business needs

  • Define cloud architecture standards and best practices, and ensure that they are followed across the organization

  • Work with development teams to ensure that applications are architected and developed for the cloud

  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure that the cloud environment is secure and highly available

  • Conduct research and development on emerging cloud technologies and assess their potential impact on our business

  • Develop and maintain cloud architecture diagrams and documentation

  • Implement cost optimization strategies to minimize cloud infrastructure costs

  • Participate in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other members of the cloud architecture team

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and design

  • Extensive experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture best practices, including security, scalability, and cost optimization

  • Experience with cloud automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell

  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
