Classification: Sr. Cost Accountant
Compensation: $85000.00 to $100000.00 yearly
Our client a division of a global consumer goods company has an exciting opening for a Senior Cost Accountant to join their Plant Operations. Reporting to the Plant Controller and supporting the entire plant management team the Sr. Cost Accountant is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, standard cost development, and inventory valuation.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Monitor Plant compliance against company policies and report variances
- Assist Plant Management implement financial and performance management systems
- Assist Plant Management develop new objectives, goals and strategies and measures
- Assist Plant Management identify and prioritize opportunity for improving efficiencies
- Support Plant cost reduction initiatives
- Coordinate the effective use of their ERP system
- Provide direction and support to Plant Management
- CPA designation or actively pursuing
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive costing experience from the manufacturing sector ideally Food
- Proven track record of working closely with management in delivering process improvement
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Very strong Excel Skills, and medium to large ERP Systems is highly desired
- Excellent communication skills
