POSITION SUMMARY
As a key member of our Business Development team, you will be responsible for the creation of all complex bid documents within NFI Parts in support of the Customer Service team. You will plan, coordinate, evaluate, and successfully execute new/complex program proposals and program start-up, and ensure that the appropriate supporting team members are assigned from within NFI Parts for all program opportunities and provide regular status updates to management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Oversee the design and creation of all complex bid documents as well as the management of projects related to new customer and start up programs.
  • Gather and organize information relative to bid requirements during the proposal stage (RFP).
  • Communicate the status of all active and potential bid and program opportunities.
  • Build a library of bid/proposal materials and program start-up examples to use with future bids. 
  • Review and collaborate with stakeholders on past, present, and future program opportunities.
  • Facilitate the start-up and/or implementation of new or large programs within NFI Parts, ensuring that the Customer Service Team is set-up to successfully monitor the program after start-up. 
  • Facilitate strategy sessions for each program proposal, as well as processes for stakeholder approval of bid content, program approach, and pricing prior to submission.
  • Scope and develop internal processes (both manual and IT-related) that will assist in the execution of a program.
  • Assist program owners in developing schedules, program reports and key performance indicators to maintain visibility on material supply, sub-contractors and internal support departments to ensure the program operates to the plan.
  • Identify opportunities for repeat programs within NFI Parts by identifying process improvements and efficiencies, capturing lessons learned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Post-secondary education in Business. Program Management or an Engineering discipline will be considered
  • Five years of Bid and Program management experience 
  • Experience developing and supporting complex bids
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills 
  • Strong innovative and strategic thinking skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills
  • Adept with Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Capable of working within a fast-paced team-oriented environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing or transit industry would be considered an asset
