Description

La ou le titulaire verra à effectuer des tâches de coordination pour le Service du génie de la fabrication en vue de mener à terme les priorités, programmes, projets et objectifs opérationnels pour BHTCL.Elle ou il sera responsable de la coordination de toute la gamme d’activités, tant techniques qu’administratives, pour assurer le soutien :
•Du développement de la technologie de fabrication et de la mise en production
•Des améliorations de produit et des initiatives liées à l’amélioration continue
•Des programmes de développement, des programmes de coproduction
•Des entreprises en participation
•De la promotion ou de la transition des fournisseurs
•Des projets d’impartition ou de localisation des sources d’approvisionnement.
Coordonner les projets/programmes par les activités suivantes :
•Estimations des coûts, main d’œuvre, outillage et équipement
•Évaluer la rentabilité des projets et le retour sur investissement
•Établir les budgets et faire les suivis
•Établir les plans de projet, les échéanciers et les jalons
•Leader et coordonner les activités du groupe de projet
•Documenter la séquence manufacturière et le plan achat ou fabrication
•Documentation et suivi de projets (A3 et 8D) et présentation à la Direction
•Développer le plan d’outillage et l’approbation des fournisseurs
•Coordonner la conception et la fabrication de l’outillage (interne et externe)
•Coordonner avec Génie Manufacturier, Ingénierie, les opérations et autre
•personnel de développement, les problèmes de « producibility »
•Coordonner et fournir un support technique et administratif avec les
•compagnies externes
•Coordonner l’inspection du premier assemblage (FAI)
•Suivi et coordination d’actions pour l’intégration des changements d’Ingénierie
Surveille les meilleures pratiques de nouvelles technologies et les techniques avancées de fabrication manufacturière;
Propose des nouvelles méthodes, procédés ou technologies pour l’amélioration des coûts de fabrication;
Participe à des projets de recherche et développement;
Fait du mentorat, de la formation et de l’assistance techniques auprès de ses confrères de travail.

Roles and responsabilities
The incumbent will perform coordination tasks of the Manufacturing Engineering department for the accomplishment of priorities, programs/projects & operational objectives for BHTCL. He is responsible of coordinating all types of technical and administrative activities in support of:
•Manufacturing technology development & introduction to production
•Product improvements & continuous improvement initiatives
•Development programs
•Co-production programs
•Joint ventures
•Supplier development &/or transition
•Outsourcing &/or in sourcing projects
Coordinates Projects/Programs activities:
•Estimate and analyze cost, manpower, tooling and equipment
•Estimate project return on investment
•Establish budget and do follow-up
•Establish project plans, schedule and milestones
•Lead and coordinates project group activities
•Document manufacturing sequence and make/buy plan
•Documentation and project follow-up (A3 & 8D) and presentation to Management
•Develop tooling plan and supplier approval
•Coordinate tool design and tool fabrication (in house and outside)
•Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, operations and other development personnel on producibility issues
•Coordinate and provide technical and administrative liaison and support with Outside companies
•Coordinate First Assembly Inspection (FAI)
•Engineering change integration and follow-up
Benchmark new technologies and advanced manufacturing techniques;
Propose new manufacturing methods, processes and cost effective solutions for product research or production;
Participate to Research & Development project;
Provide mentoring, assistance training and technical advice to his/her co-workers.

Required qualifications
•Diploma of college studies (DEC) in pertinent field of Manufacturing Technology: composites, mechanical, electrical, aeronautics
•The incumbent must have eight (8) years of pertinent experience in manufacturing engineering &/or manufacturing operations
•Ability to administer budgets
•Demonstrated experience to coordinate activities of 5 to 10 employees
•Strong knowledge of project management best practices
•Strong communicate French and English
•Available for travelling
•Familiar with mastering methods, tolerancing, cost estimating, aircraft materials and processes, tooling and the more complex manufacturing technologies pertinent.
