The technology

Inpixon Indoor Intelligence ingests diverse data from IoT and third-party sensors designed to detect and position all active - cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ultra-wideband - devices using a proprietary computing process. Our platform provides a complete solution to locate, track, guide and monitor everything indoors along with the plug-in architecture and open APIs that enable interoperability and seamless integration with other systems increasing the reach, flexibility and power of indoor solutions. 

The opportunity

As we scale beyond 200 employees as a result of growth and acquisitions, Inpixon is prioritizing the need to support, train, retain, and grow our people. Reporting to the Director of People Operations, we have a newly created opportunity for a Manager of People Operations in Toronto. This is an opportunity to own and drive the end-to-end Human Resources and People Operations function with a focus on our Canadian employees. You will execute the overall people strategy for Canada and take charge of new projects. You will be hands-on to ensure our HR operations guidelines are implemented and adhered to across our Canadian offices and focus on employee engagement through strengthening relationships.

You may be coming from a smaller startup where the HR/People Operations department started and ended with you. You are looking for an opportunity at a scaling tech company with a global presence where you can accelerate your career. You are ready to hit the ground running executing on a People strategy and partnering with the Director to build out policies, procedures, compliance, employee experience, engagement, and development. You want to be an active contributor, have ownership of HR initiatives, and propose data-driven solutions that will impact the organization.

Growth. You will be mentored by and work in partnership with the Director, People Operations. You will be involved at the ground level working as a business partner across all teams, from designing the employee handbook to implementing compliance and governance. You will lead the alignment of new and existing Canadian employees as well as those brought on through mergers and acquisitions.

What you will focus on:

  • Implement human resources programs. You will execute the People strategy and provide end-to-end human resources services to the Canadian offices, exploring opportunities to add value. You will ensure and enforce compliance with Canadian employment standards.
  • Be a steward of company culture. You will champion and coordinate supporting programs and activities across the organization but with a focus on Inpixon Canada.
  • Innovate. You will apply a data-driven approach to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions for employee performance, retention, and engagement.
  • Own. You will be responsible for all stages of the employee onboarding, orientation, and exit process. You will spearhead special projects from end-to-end, setting and meeting deliverables and timelines. Projects may include the design, development, and rollout of an Employee Handbook; the design, development, and rollout of an Orientation and Onboarding program.
  • Build relationships. You will foster an open door policy and approachable manner, welcoming employees at all levels to assist with and solve HR issues. You will reach out to business leaders to understand their specific resourcing needs, coaching them on people management and development. You will improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems and counselling on solutions.

What you bring:

  • The experience. You have 5+ years of experience working as a People Operations / HR Generalist with experiencing designing, developing, and rolling out critical HR initiatives. You may have moved up to a People Partner, Program Manager, or similar role. Ideally, you have both scaleup and larger organization experience to draw from and a track record of providing HR advice and solutions to leaders and individuals on employee and organizational issues. 
  • The hands-on HR knowledge. You demonstrate an understanding of People Operations practices in Canada, and you may have exposure to supporting a geographically distributed workforce. You have expertise in operations, employee engagement, performance management, change management, career development, compensation, employment law, and other compliance matters. You have end-to-end HR experience, including employee life cycle management.
  • The collaboration skills. You are a relationship builder who is self-aware, with outstanding verbal, written, and presentation abilities. You can gain trust, influence decisions, implement processes, and foster an inclusive culture. You have the people and conflict management skills to overcome challenging issues through to closure and help managers build high-performing teams.
  • The analytical mindset. You have strong evidence-based decision-making abilities, with the ability to research and analyze data, leverage available resources, and present solutions. You have excellent judgment and can make thoughtful decisions as a creative problem solver.
  • The drive. You are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done, no matter how big or small. You can work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, juggling several projects with a spirit of flexibility and a positive outlook. 
  • The creative spirit. You are passionate about nurturing a positive, diverse, and inclusive people culture. You enjoy putting together remote and in-person culture-building activities.
