Agilus is recruiting for a Process Technician for our client a supplier of Injection Molded Closures located in Burlington, ON. This position is a 12-hour continental day shift with occasional travel when required.
Qualified candidates will have 5 + years manufacturing experience in injection molding. Strong troubleshooting skills, mathematical skills, mechanical aptitude and communication skills are required to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities:•Assist with the startup of new equipment through:oDeveloping process parametersoDeveloping an operator training planoConducting operator training•Monitor daily process parameters on the injection machines•Optimize cycle time while ensuring conforming product•Establish optimum baseline process and calculated alarm parameters•Responsible for advanced process analyses•Lead or participate in mold and product design/drawing reviews when required•Liaise with outside suppliers and machine manufacturers to develop process improvements•Responsible for process improvement and cost saving opportunities•Participate in tooling buy offs•Some travel will be required
Qualifications:•5-7 years’ experience with injection mold machines:o Arburg, Husky, Sumitomo, Netstal•5-7 years’ experience with Vision Systems, PSG’s•Detail oriented•Advanced injection knowledge/skills•Advanced problem-solving skills•Hydraulic, electric, pneumatic knowledge•Blueprint reading•Advance troubleshooting•Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word•High school diploma•Training and development courses•Safety courses•Injection molding courses•Strong communication skills•Good organizational skills
Pay Rate & Shift:Rate of Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hourShift: 12-hour continental day shifts
