Our client in the mining sector is currently seeking a Finance Consultant to support them though a SOX project. The key job responsibilities are

* Document and review fair value of assets acquired
* Compile documentation from the different mine sites and corporate head office after conducting interviews with staff
* Review and document internal controls over financial reporting from a SOX compliance standpoint
* Liaise with their auditors with regards to fair value of assets acquired
To be considered for this opportunity, you are a designated CPA with 5+ years of experience along with very strong SOX knowledge and experience. You also have the following skills and experience as follows:

* Strong technical external auditing or internal auditing knowledge and ideally Big 4 background coupled with proven industry experience in a complex work environment
* Very knowledgeable about SOX and internal controls
* Understand about acquisition accounting and purchase price allocations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong ability to work both independently as well as within a team
