Builders and problem solvers thrive here.

Imagine knowing the work you do is changing the face of the healthcare system in Canada. That’s what we do every day at Verto Health, create technology solutions that facilitate access to quality healthcare regardless of geographic location.

As we continue to grow and plan ahead we are always on the lookout for exceptional people that believe in our mission and want to join our team. If 2020 taught us anything, it's that connections are essential. We are looking to connect with DevOps Engineers who are interested in future opportunities with us. If you are exploring companies that make a difference, we would love to hear from you.

How our team makes a difference

Our DevOps Engineers are solving real-life, large scale problems ensuring reliability and availability. They are radically transforming how healthcare is delivered through our digital twin platform. As critical contributors to the team, they:

  • Ensure exceptional reliability and availability of the interoperable solutions we are developing and launching.
  • Architect, build, and maintain Cloud DevOps solutions, optimizing, and automating tasks (e.g., backups, deployments, provisioning Azure resources).
  • Collaborate with the release manager and development teams to deploy software releases.
  • Engage in Agile and DevOps best practices to deliver reliably and effectively.
  • Actively participate in our Architecture Review Board, where everyone has a voice and can recommend tools, propose ideas, or make a case against a recommended direction (even one coming from our CISO, Director, or CEO).
  • Demonstrate, watch, learn, and share during retrospectives, lunch-and-learns, and town halls.
  • Be a part of our Ninja Ops team, gaining exposure to different technical and non-technical domains.

Every day, this is a team that comes together to solve problems, make an impact on the healthtech landscape, and further their career through:

  • Exposure and opportunity to work at a scale that is rare in Canada.
  • Mentorship by our Director, whose professional superpower is adaptability.
  • Advancement opportunities to take your role to the next level, whether technology-focused, such as into a DevOps Lead, Architect. Or, people-leadership focused into a Team Lead and Manager.

What you bring

We know not everyone gains their skills and knowledge through traditional formats. Whether you are used to the hustle of a startup or the processes of a bigger organization, you come with the drive to learn new tools and a passion for solving complex problems with innovative technology. To be a successful contributor, you need hands-on experience building, maintaining, and deploying to Azure as well as networking; scripting or building automation releases, using technologies like PostgreSQL, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and various Linux Distributions. You have experience scaling up and stabilizing products, and implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Above all else, we value people with a growth mindset and adaptability.
