IT Project Manager (Mining Industry)

On behalf of our client in the mining industry, Procom is seeking an experience Project Manager or Sr Project Manager for a 3-6 month+ assignment FIFO in Northern BC.

IT Project Manager (Mining Industry) Job Details
- Manage technical resources and vendors to deliver outcomes.  Approach tasks ‘hands-on’ from time to time as very limited resource available on site;
- Identify, agree and manage cost of required hardware, setup and commissioning activities. 
- Define and ensure project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets;
- Identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project;
- Follow Client site and IT Change Management processes;
- Ensure effective and open communication with project, site and group stakeholders via regular touch points.
- Ensure commitments to stakeholders are met, with expectations of delivery managed to completion through regular communication.

Scope and deliver to time and budget, all technology requirements relating to early works project, with full consideration to the upcoming pre-feasibility study technology requirements.  Aim to minimise regret spend where possible;
 - Point to point network connectivity from existing site to the new Portal Entrance, Construction Area and designated temporary project offices (~40 seat, expected Nov 2020)
- Client IT Network access within these areas delivered through wired, wireless and potentially outdoor wireless connectivity;
- Setup of project contractor networks to support required connectivity, whilst protecting Client site bandwidth and observing all network and cyber security controls and standards;
- Voice services including Skype for Business for office based staff and  VHF radio coverage across a defined project area
- Setup and implementation of IT productivity tools and project collaboration areas required to support Early Works;
- Establish if any printing facilities are required
- Scope any Client application requirements and required change activity;
- Leverage Client SME’s across Group and other sites to support required works

IT Project Manager (Mining Industry) Mandatory Skills
- Experienced Project Manager
- Significant mining experience in early works
- Experiencing scoping technology requirements for Pre-Feasbility studies

IT Project Manager (Mining Industry) Assignment Location
Northern BC onsite on a 3/3 week rotation

IT Project Manager (Mining Industry) Assignment Length
3-6 months+ possible extensions

ASAP
