Price & Promotions Analyst

GLENTEL Burnaby, British Columbia, CA, British Columbia Full Time

As a Price & Promotions Analyst, you will be joining a dynamic Plan Management team responsible for the implementation, coordination, and communication of pricing and promotional offers within our retail systems. You will be collaborating with cross-functional partners to support business process efficiencies and resolve inconsistencies. You will also be supporting our merchandising team with the data integrity of the product plan.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing, coordinating, and communicating pricing, promotional, and plan updates within Glentel's various retail systems; point of sale system, price cards, and online, and ensuring compatibility, accuracy, and alignment with retail and financial reporting requirements
  • Collaborates with cross-functional partners; including retail management, purchasing, merchandising and finance to identify, analyze, resolve, and support system inconsistencies or discrepancies
  • Proactively gathers, analyzes, and drives insights and recommendations for business process efficiencies and sales tools
  • Supports the merchandise managers by creating and maintaining the data integrity and accuracy of the product assortment, price, and plan
  • Monitors wireless retail industry and competitor's programs, pricing and promotional offers
  • Performs other related duties

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in Business or a combination of related education and work experience
  • Retail work experience and familiarity with retail point of sale systems is an asset
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data
  • Bilingual English/French is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and a passion to learn
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and exercise sound judgment to prioritize activities
  • Ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule.
