On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a IT Asset Management Analyst for a 6 month contract in Calgary, AB.

IT Asset Management Analyst Job Details

The focus of this role is to be an integral part of a transformed IT Asset Management Team. This progressive team is responsible for managing Client’s Financials IT assets, agreements, and vendors. This includes all hardware, software, services, purchases, and renewals.

We are looking for a candidate who is excited to roll up their sleeves and get down to business! The successful candidate will be eager to help build a world class asset management practice utilizing their knowledge of procurement, data, best practices, and contract administration.

IT Asset Management Analyst Responsibilities

  • Overall lifecycle management of all enterprise IT assets including procurement, provisioning, usage tracking, support agreements, tracking and audit inquiries.
  • Help support the management of IT contracts and vendor relationships to maximize the value creation and costs for software licensing, hardware maintenance, and service offerings.
  • Input data, manage and administer the authoritative data source of software and hardware in the organization, using approved tools, with specific focus on accuracy and complete data.
  • Work with various teams to ensure IT assets, including cloud based software, meet the needs of client business while meeting the criteria for deployment within the client computing environment.
  • Assist with the oversight and management of cloud based software and hosting services including tracking of usage, licenses, chargeback, and cleanup.
  • Liaise with various internal teams (Risk, Security, Finance and Procurement) as part of the IT asset management lifecycle.
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors to obtain quotes, and assist with invoice verification and reconciliation.
  • Support the negotiation of new and / or renewal of software and subscription agreements.
  • Participate in software audit and / or assurance reviews as required internally or with vendors.
  • Active participation and ongoing monitoring of IT hardware and software budgets.
  • Draft and revise reference materials related to IT asset management on client’s Intranet, Google Drive and Communities as required.
  • Shared accountability with team to document all IT asset processes and procedures
  • Assist in the development of training and reference materials as they relate to IT asset management.

IT Asset Management Analyst Must Have Skills

  • Experience in IT Asset Management (software and / or hardware);
  • Certificate / degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration and / or IT preferred;
  • ITAM certifications such as CHAMP or CSAM preferred;
  • Experience using Servicenow, or other similar CMDB and Asset tools, is important;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication skills (written and oral), listening skills, and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and tactfully;
  • Strong computer skills (G-Suite, Gmail, Google Drive, Lansweeper, Jira);
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational, time management and planning skills;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and management direction;
  • Some experience with reading, negotiating, supporting and/or managing software agreements;
  • Previous experience with software audit and assurance reviews would be beneficial;
  • Strong skills in the use of reporting tools to advise management on current asset management status, future trends, financial predictability for asset for planned growth and/or reductions;
  • Experience with databases and report generation;
