Robert Half is looking to fill a Payroll & Benefits Analyst position on a full-time basis in the Langley area. As a Payroll & Benefits Analyst , your duties will include analyzing the payroll data and accounts for an entire group of companies, address questions about costs related to the benefits plan, creating payroll reports for various leaders & department managers, assist with the forecasting process, review payroll reports and advise on any issues or concerns, analyze all compensation related data including wages & bonuses, head count reporting, contribute to resource planning and make suggestions to improve the payroll processes. This is a newly created position and will have the ability to contribute to the plans & vision of the company.

You will be an integral part of the organization’s finance, payroll and HR team and liaise with multiple teams & stakeholders.

1.      Review & analyze payroll data and deliver timely payroll reporting to various department heads

2.      Oversee the costs related to the company’s benefit plans and make suggestions, as needed

3.      Ensure corporate policies, procedures, and controls are followed and improved on a continuous basis

4.      Provide variance & head count reports on a continuous basis

5.      Participate in organization’s resource planning process & meet with the VP’s annually to discuss strategy

6.      Liaise with teams in various departments & locations

7.      Prepare financial analysis on trends, changes, and updates

8.      Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives and projects

9.      Continuously analyze the current processes and make suggestions for improvement & automation 

To be considered for this role, you will bring with you:

1.      Strong hands-on experience (5+ years) in both Finance & Payroll field

2.      Financial / Data Analysis & payroll reporting experience

3.      Progressive work experience from a large company environment

4.      PCP, CPM and /or CPA will be considered an asset

5.      Advances Excel Skills are required

6.      Strong ERP and/or experience working with varied Payroll systems will be required (experience with system implementations / upgrades will be an asset)

7.      Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

8.      Notable analytical, quantitative and finance skills

9.      Deep understanding of accounting & finance concepts as well as strong payroll background 

10.  Be detailed, flexible, organized and vow to meet business deadlines in a fast-paced environment

11.  Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment
