Procom, Recruitment Manager 

The Opportunity:  

Procom is currently looking for a Recruiting Manager to provide recruitment leadership for a team of Recruitment Team Leads. The team will range from 3-5 Team Leads and provide recruitment subject matter expertise to their team. The individual will also have management responsibility over the team including objective management, job management, problem resolution, and one on one mentorship. 

The Role:  

This is a key role in our organization as delivery is the cornerstone of any staffing organization. This individual will be instrumental in executing on strategic initiative and providing new and creative ideas to elevate the team to a new level. 

Job Responsibilities:   

  • Accountable for building a high performing recruiting team and ensuring an excellent level of service delivery and team productivity to both Clients and internal sales stakeholders.  

  • Responsible for negotiating individual performance plans and goals for members of your team, and conducting regular follow ups to evaluate progress.  

  • Provide daily coaching and assistance for team members in regard to job order review, candidate review, search strategies, interview preparation, negotiation/offer and ATS and job board assistance  

  • Collaborate with Recruiting leads/managers in other regions on cross border initiatives, clients and/or recruiting initiatives that impact Procom overall as an organization.  

  • Responsible for effective delivery of all aspects of the recruiting lifecycle by members of your team, ranging from job order requirement intake to candidate sourcing, interviews and overall job order management.  

  • Able to think analytically to spot problems in the current recruiting process, or identify opportunities for improvement in capabilities and competitive posture.  

  • Regular review of team’s open job list to prioritize, update and remove jobs from the list through discussion with account manager and coverage strategies with the recruiter(s)  

  • Manage team activity by establishing and managing to productivity standards for submittals, client submits, interviews, offers and new starts.  

  • Ongoing team performance review, performance management discipline and termination decisions.  

  • Responsible for identifying, hiring and training new team members on your team. Able to train rookie recruiters from an entry level through to master recruiter through a combination of corporate training materials, classroom sessions, shadowing and team mentoring. 

  • Able to support the continued development of experienced team members to develop mastery level of knowledge in all aspects of the recruiting cycle, ranging from sourcing to candidate engagement, negotiation and closing activities.  

  • Monthly review of closes, recruiting performance reports and service delivery SLAs to monitor development of team members against current upward or downward trends in clients, recruiter and/or job metrics. Identify data issues based on delivery knowledge to ensure clean monthly reporting.  

  • Be a positive influence for your team to mimic from work hours, professionalism and knowledge on tools, trends and technologies  

  • Strong understanding of each of the Toronto office’s clients, VMS and submittal expectations, with the ability to fill in and submit in an account managers absence.  

  • Commitment to adhere to Procom Delivery Management process from both a leadership perspective and an active participant in enhancing and rolling out not policies, workflows and technologies.  

  • Collaborating on team budget for Recruitment tools and managing the tool usage within your team to ensure the team is utilizing prescribed tools, managing the branch tool budget to stay within the prescribed quarterly budget or requesting purchase orders for new spend based on team size, client changes and/or changing regional needs.  

  • Understand the Recruitment tool stack to gain commitment from the team in to increase adoption/usage, increase product knowledge to ensure utilizing full scope of tool and identify training opportunities across the team/organization. 

Skills and Knowledge Required:  

  • 3+ years of managing a team of recruiters  

  • 5+ years of staffing industry experience  

  • Willingness to support all types of business (VMS, Retail, Government, etc.) 

  • Ability to effectively communicate with and respond to questions from Account Managers and Team Members 

  • Strong understanding and usage of ATS and Job Boards and how to utilize each system effectively. 

  • Understanding of recruiting metrics, report development and analysis 

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and solve problems. 

  • Proven track record as a staffing recruiter. 

  •  Experience working in a high volume, fast paced environment.
