Compensation: $85000.00 to $95000.00 yearly

The purpose of the Accounting Services Manager is to provide excellent accounting services in the areas of accounts receivable, billing, accounts payable, refunds and payroll. They will lead and manage the transactions team, resolve issues, prepare the related reconciliations, and play an important role in the month end process.




•      Lead and manage the transactional accounting team including accounts receivable, billing, accounts payable, refunds and payroll

•      Review accounts payable coding, approval and ensure payment details are correct and payments are made on time

•      Ensure special payments such as shareholder payments, corporate tax instalments and commodity tax payments are accurate and made on time

•      Review and approve semi-monthly payroll for accuracy and ensure compliance with the applicable employment standards

•      Review refund requests for accuracy, approval, validity, completeness of supporting documents and accuracy of payment details

•      Review sales commission calculations for accuracy and validity

•      Ensure inter-company accounts are balanced at period end

•      Assist with year end audit and preparation of working papers for auditors

•      Provide guidance and training for team members and implement best practices

•      Recommend and implement changes for existing processes to improve efficiency and operating effectiveness

•      Maintain internal controls and recommend improvements

•      Special projects and other related duties, as required



•      Effective leadership, coaching and mentoring capabilities in a high performing remote team environment

•      You are detail oriented and able to identify errors

•      Advanced ability to manage and prioritize a complex workload while adhering to performance goals

•      Results driven and action oriented

•      Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

•      5+ years of previous accounting and related experience with at least 3 years experience leading a team of 4 or more

•      Bachelor’s degree or Canadian certificate/diploma in accounting or finance

•      Canadian CPA designation (CA, CGA, CMA and CPA)

•      Knowledge of ASPE and/or IFRS is an asset
