Position Summary:

This position provides leadership in the development and communication of the volume forecasts and associated on-going improvements within demand planning. Using SAP/APO, the planner will assess, deploy, and make on-going enhancements to support accurate volume forecasting through statistical modeling and facilitation of the S&OP consensus process. Works with other leaders in Demand Planning, Insights & Analytics, Sales, and General Management, to continuously improve demand accuracy and associated analytics to explain demand changes. Directs the work efforts through on-going reviews of available inputs, understanding business drivers, and supporting scenario development. Influences and mentors forecast analysts and other cross-functional partners to improve the overall analytical capability for TreeHouse Foods.

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Consensus Forecast in a predominantly Private Label portfolio.
• Aligned with assigned customers. Drives/facilitates volume consensus process across General Manager/Customer Business Development Manager portfolio.
• Works with the General Managers and Sales counterparts to develop forecast inputs. Ensures reasonableness of inputs.
• Translates General Managers and Sales inputs into the demand plan. Provides inputs at both consensus and lower levels, as necessary, to ensure accuracy at all levels down to SKU/Month.
• Utilize external data and insights to add increase value to the demand plan (Retail Link, and IRI Data)
• Focuses on understanding the business to recognize the business drivers' inputs and initiatives. Communicates key assumptions (i.e., merchandising calendar, distribution changes, pricing, risks, opportunities, etc.).
• Conducts root causal analysis of business performance against forecast and pacing gaps.
• Develops executive volume forecast summary, including drivers on all factors influencing the short, medium, and long term forecast horizons.
• Build a collaborative relationship with external stakeholders to understand and provide clarity of future demand expectations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor or College degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field
• 3 to 5 years of previous experience in forecasting, preferably within the food industry or other CPG-related companies
• Experience in and exposure to S&OP processes and procedures, customer planning, and supply planning
• Practical and demonstrated use of productivity/continuous improvement methodology in previous positions
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills - both formal and informal
• Methodology aptitudes & leadership in areas such as forecasting, team facilitation, problem-solving, and overall solution optimization
• Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional project team and appropriately manage multiple demands on time
• Experience and or exposure in SAP (APO, IBP), BWP, Retail Link, IRI, and strong Excel skills

Education:

☒ Associate Degree/College Diploma (Canada - 3-5 years)

☒ Bachelor's Degree Required - Type: Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field
