Essentially, our scalable solution makes work life better for our clients.
As we continue to grow and make a difference in the way companies manage their people, streamline HR, access data insights, pay their team, increase operational efficiency and succeed in their business, we are looking for driven individuals to join our team.
The opportunity:
R&D at Ceridian is a group of close-knit, cross-functional teams of Developers, QA Analysts, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Test Engineers. We are Agile with a vast appetite for continuous improvement, learning, and training. The Core HR team is responsible for the development of next-generation industry leading HCM products that are robust, high performing, accessible, and user-friendly. We are excited to start work on the new modernization of Dayforce built with the latest in cloud, microservices, and Microsoft technologies, introducing automation, increased flexibility and responsiveness, and further capitalizing on AI such as Dayforce Conversational Assistant.
Reporting to the Director, Product Development, we have an opportunity for a Development Manager to lead the day-to-day people and delivery management of our Core HR team. This is an exciting chance to spearhead the tactical work of a cross-functional team of 10 designing the architecture and building the functionality of the next generation product. You will collaborate with Product Managers and your peers in R&D to identify the tools, technologies, and processes needed to make fundamental changes to the core HR product used by our enterprise customers. You will take ownership for ensuring the retrospectives, scrums, and sprints are all effectively run, agile processes are followed; and, working one on one with the team for professional development and performance evaluation.
Who you are:
You may be a Team Lead looking for a step up to a Development Manager role that combines people and tactical responsibilities or a Development Manager looking to make a change. You have an in-depth understanding of technical architectures, capacity plans, tool requirements, automation plans, product launch plans, for the design and build of scalable enterprise cloud products. You want to join a global organization that operates like a scale-up: responsively, rapidly, and with agility. You thrive in a role that combines coaching and mentoring individuals with internal client relationship building. You are results-driven and can inspire people to take ownership and stay motivated while influencing and guiding the team's technical decisions and priorities.
What's in it for you:
Leadership. As part of a group building brand new architecture for the next generation Dayforce product, you will play a key role in our trajectory. This is a massive modernization effort that will leverage new technologies such as Blazer, Maui, and exciting new Microsoft technologies. Cutting edge tools, people retention, and high standards lead directly to customer success and satisfaction, all of which are paramount to our growth strategy.
Teamwork. Our inclusive, supportive workplace culture fosters an environment of continuous learning, professional development, collaboration, and a chance to blend in-office and remote working long before and after the COVID-19 crisis.
Growth. We are a rapidly scaling company with a focus on promoting from within. This is a global organization with more opportunities than people, where we encourage you to express and pursue areas and projects that interest and inspire you. You will have a chance to move up or across to a different group, expanding your scope of work and gaining exposure and opportunity on any of the Dayforce teams.
