Job Description

The Challenge

For those who dream of advancing our understanding of Planet Earth and participate in space exploration, the ADGA Group offers exciting opportunities in the area of Artificial Intelligence. Space is a privileged vantage point to measure climate change and monitor the impact of human activity. Our R&D efforts target future missions with a view of measuring soil moisture from space (and assess the danger of forest fire), the amount of snow on the ground (for spring flood prediction), the health of our boreal forest (chlorophyl activity) and many other exciting applications.

The Position

You will join our highly skilled Space R&D team as they continue to develop AI-powered software for Earth Observation in a cloud-native, microservice environment. You will be working with a wide range of technologies such as Python, Kubernetes, Docker, and TensorFlow. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing Machine Learning powered, space-based technology. She/he is self-starter who brings original ideas and dedication to a growing team of AI/ML experts.

  • All experience levels are welcome for this position.
  • You demonstrate a passion for Machine Learning and software development;

  • You’re comfortable developing software in a cloud-native, microservice environment;

  • You’re interested in exploring exciting new data fusion, Earth Observation applications;

  • You pride yourself in writing clean, well-documented, and efficient code;

  • You’re an innovative thinker but you welcome working in a team.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skills:

  • Affinity for problem solving and innovation;
  • Strong programming skills (Python, TypeScript);
  • Strong interest in Machine Learning (TensorFlow);
  • Experience working in a containerized environment (Docker);
  • Familiarity with Linux command line;
  • Team skills and oral communication.

Candidates are encouraged to provide specific examples of experience (academic, extracurricular, employment) but all levels of experience will be considered.
